Just note if you go in the photo section and press and hold the shutter button to record a video, it will default to 1440P at 30 frame per seconds even if your default settings is for 4K at 60 frame per second.
Also turns off HDR if it was on by default.
It is? I thought it was 1080p30 that’s awesome
It’s not actually 1440p, it’s 1080p but it has extra pixels on top and bottom since is not widescreen. The iPhone thinks it is 1440, but if you look the width is the same as 1080 (1920)
Also, you get mono audio instead of stereo

Great tips! Didn’t know long press back and 3 finger tap. Also I use Siri for timer, which is very convenient
Guided Access has one very useful use. It’s not just for kids. If you use an iPad as a HomeKit hub, set the iPad to never sleep, launch the Home app (or whatever other app you use for that purpose), and start guided access. With the Home app always on, it’s easy to check on the status of your home. I have two of them, one in the kitchen and one in my bedroom, both tacked up on the wall and plugged into power. The best iPads to use for this are old ones stuck in the back of a closet somewhere.
I like the instant background removal with iOS 16 for creating thumbnails that you can email to friends, or upload to the web, such as an NFT.

One up your trackpad tip! Once in trackpad mode (via holding space bar) – tap the keyboard area with your other finger and start dragging… it’ll start selecting characters words!
Also, you can swipe left on the calculator app to delete too, so if you have to delete a few numbers, you can swipe back and forth and it’s easier.
Great video dude there was a couple I hadn’t come across so well done, holding down on the timer is useful and also holding down the back key to jump menus

You can also turn on shapes in guided access of where the user is allowed to interact with. So if you want to let your child browse a site, but not to access the address bar, you can draw a shape over the rest of the screen and block out the address bar. If it’s a game that they like to play, but you don’t want them to buy something, you restrict touch access to the “Buy” button on the game or other options that could get them into trouble 🙂
