Duet allows you to use your iPad as an external display and Touch Bar. I use it to employ closed-clamshell mode while retaining Touch Bar access. Download Duet:

  1. That’s so weird. I was just thinking today that someone should make a touch
bar jailbreak for iPhone and iPad.

  2. Since the Touch Bar image can be brought outside of the Mac with just a
cable, can’t third-party manufacturers start making Touch Bar keyboards?

  3. So you close the lid of your MacBook Pro, but you want to use the touch
bar, so you connect your Mac to your iPad, then use the LG monitor to see
the task you perform on the iPad, which is actually a mirror of what is
going on in the MacBook Pro. I need to lie down for a minute to process
    this.

    • hmmmm, why buy a macbook pro with touch screen only to replace it with a
$10 app on a $500 ipad? I’m also kinda baffled by the logic behind all of
      this. 😀

  4. I have the non Touch Bar 13 inch model, I wish they enabled to use Touch
Bar on Duet with that model too. Bummer
